about the shed
The Shed was founded in 2007 by me, John Carvalho, to provide practical design, website and print solutions for small businesses at affordable rates.
Based in Cambridge, The Shed’s home is actually …er… my shed! Though you won’t find too many garden tools in there, I can often be found inside with steam coming out of my ears as the creative cogs go into overdrive to bring you some exciting practical design solutions for your business needs.
I work on The Shed’s client projects either alone or with a larger team, when required, to provide exactly what you need, whilst keeping overheads low to pass on savings to you.
Cambridge born and bred, I have also travelled a little, including a stint studying photography and working for a studio in New York. Later working in a design agency in the West End of London. Despite enjoying the glamour of London’s famously inefficient Underground system twice a day, the big city lights weren’t as appealing as returning to my roots in historic Cambridge to establish The Shed.
